Katherine earned her Juris Doctor as well as an Aboriginal and Indigenous Law Specialization Certificate from the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Additionally, Katherine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Katherine practices in all areas of Canadian immigration law. Her experience includes, but is not limited to, Judicial Review at the Federal Court, assisting clients with previous visa refusals, drafting arguments for complex immigration cases, responses to procedural fairness letters, inadmissibility issues, temporary and permanent residence applications, spousal sponsorship, citizenship, and refugee matters.

Prior to joining Matkowsky Immigration Law, Katherine worked at several non-profit legal organizations where she assisted low-income and marginalized individuals to assess their options and litigate a wide variety of complex legal matters.

Katherine is passionate about helping clients implement creative and empowering strategies to achieve their immigration goals with respect and dignity.
