On February 7, 2018, the IRCC invited 3,000 candidates to apply for permanent residence who were in the Express Entry pool and had a CRS score of 442+. The IRCC has now started to increase the number of candidates being selected, which is lowering the CRS score. Our firm expects the CRS to decline in the coming months to the 420 - 430 range. Last year saw a new CRS low of 413.
In 2018, 85,000 people are expected to be selected in Express Entry system, under the Federal Skilled Worker program.
