In today's draw, the IRCC invited 3,900 candidates to apply for Permanent Residence via Express Entry who had a CRS score of 445+. The increase in the CRS score was expected, as it follows the seasonal pattern of higher scores as we approach the end of the year when there are fewer spots remaining in the year's quota. Our firm does not anticipate the CRS score lowering below 440 for the remainder of this year, 2018. At the beginning of 2019, there will be a new quota of 85,000 and CRS scores are expected to be lower.
Candidates who are interested to immigrate should start the process now, to enter into the pool before the beginning of 2019. As evidenced in past years, the CRS score is typically lower at the beginning of the year than the latter half of the year.
The ideal candidate under Express Entry has a score of at least 440+. To calculate your Express Entry score, use our Express Entry CRS Calculator.
