Happy New Year to all!
In today's Express Entry Draw, the IRCC issued 3,900 invitations to individuals with a cut-off score of 449+. The increase in CRS score is mainly due to the 3 week draw delay over the holidays. As the normal schedule resumes, having a draw every 2 weeks, we anticipate the CRS score to decrease back down to the 440 range. On a promising note, the draw score of 3,900 is a very large size to start the year. Should the draw size increase above 4,000, we anticipate the CRS to decrease below 440 where it stubbornly remained all year in 2018.
In 2019, there will be a new quota of 85,000 and CRS scores are expected to be lower. As evidenced in past years, the CRS score is typically lower at the beginning of the year than the latter half of the year.
The ideal candidate under Express Entry has a score of at least 440+. To calculate your Express Entry score, use our Express Entry CRS Calculator.
